Manouchehr Farkhondeh

Prior to joining NP, Dr. Farkhondeh held a Principal Research Scientist position at Massachusetts Institutes of Technology (MIT) and was the Accelerator Division Head at the MIT-Bates linear Accelerator Center. Concurrently, he was an adjunct lecturer at Merrimack College in Massachusetts. He conducted research for many years in experimental nuclear physics and accelerator science and technology using polarized electron beams from linear accelerators and storage rings. He has expertise in charge particle detection and polarized electron sources and is the NP accelerator subject matter expert for the Electron Ion Collider (EIC) Project currently under development and construction at the Brookhaven National Laboratory (BNL).
Dr. Farkhondeh received a Ph.D. in Medium Energy Experimental Nuclear Physics from MIT for “Measurement of Tensor Polarization in Pion-Deuteron Elastic Scattering” and a B.S degree in Physics from Tehran University.
