From a young age Hayden Miller has always had an affinity towards nature and the natural sciences. Growing up surrounded by wild life, Hayden had lots of time and space to explore and discover. It was at this stage that Hayden developed his love for science and learning. As a highschooler he has taken many opportunities to be driven in advanced studies and push himself in all academics. Having an extremely close and supportive family has enabled Hayden to not only be focused in education, but also have perspective on the bonding and gratifying qualities of spending time with others while learning about the world around.
Tim McKay, if he had been born four centuries earlier, would be from Formosa and would have played the harpsichord and violoncello. He is a hopeless foodie with a penchant for Asian cuisine. Later, he discovered that anything from the northern hemisphere, including poutine, is welcomed. Growing up he occasionally achieved the golden ratio, only to have a growth spurt ruin it. He used to mow lawns but stopped because the lawns started resembling crop circles. Good money though. If he could meet one person in history, it would be Nietzsche just to see if the ‘stache tickled his lip when he pontificated on the Übermensch. His favorite quote is by Pedro Calderón de la Barca: “¿Qué es la vida? Una ilusión, una sombra, una ficción, y el mayor bien es pequeño: que toda la vida es sueño, y los sueños, sueños son.” Lastly, he wants to give a shout-out to those at Fermilab analyzing the crystalline structure of proteins!
