Princeton Charter School - New Jersey Regional Middle School Science Bowl
Coach Laura Celik teaches eighth-grade science. She has taught at Princeton Charter for eight years, and has been teaching for thirteen years total. This is her seventh year coaching Science Bowl, and fourth consecutive trip to nationals. She enjoys running, birding, and traveling with her family. Laura earned a B.S.E. in chemical engineering and M.Eng in environmental engineering from Princeton University.
Suzanne Ritter teaches fourth-grade science at Princeton Charter School. She has taught at PCS for thirteen years, and has 15 years of teaching experience. This is her third year as an assistant coach for the Science Bowl team. When she isn’t teaching, you can find her gardening, cooking, or horseback riding. Suzanne earned her B.S. in biology/geology from the University of Rochester in Rochester, NY, and completed the graduate-level teacher certification program at Rider University in Lawrenceville, NJ.
Justin Feder is an eighth-grade student at Princeton Charter School. He is honored to return to nationals for the third time and excited for a Cyber Challenge and some good competition. His paternal grandfather and father have a combined 30+ years working at DOE labs (Princeton Plasma Physics Lab and Brookhaven National Lab). When not immersed in all things science, Justin enjoys acting and musical theatre, basketball, and playing games with his brother, who is also a Science Bowl alumni. He also loves eating and cooking different foods. In the future, Justin hopes to work at Brookhaven with his father as a physicist.
Vihaan Jim is an eighth-grade student at Princeton Charter and has been involved in Science Bowl for three years. This is his second time going to Nationals. Vihaan enjoys most subjects in school but especially likes math and science. Outside of school, he likes to play the guitar and reread books. He also enjoys doing projects and keeps a saltwater aquarium.
Albert Zhu is a seventh-grade student at Princeton Charter. He has been involved in Science Bowl for two years, however, this is his first year competing in the competition. Albert enjoys subjects like math, science, and history. Outside of school, he likes playing tennis or ping pong. Albert is also a singer when he is not focused on academics.
Nitza Kahlon is an eighth-grade student at Princeton Charter School and is participating in her second virtual National Science Bowl tournament. She absolutely loves learning new science. She enjoys solving math problems but other than academics, she also plays the violin and competes nationally in squash tournaments. She also loves playing video games with her friends. Nitza is absolutely stoked to be participating in nationals this year with her amazing team and coaches.
Reed Sacks is an eighth-grade student at Princeton Charter School and is participating in his first virtual National Science Bowl tournament.
