Nancy Wang
Nancy Wang is in the twelfth grade. Her interests include math, chemistry, swimming, volleyball, listening to music, and nature. Her favorite subjects are math and chemistry. She has not decided on a college/university yet but plans on majoring in material science and engineering along with a minor in mathematics. She would then like to work in a laboratory in hopes of publishing groundbreaking papers. Nancy played the piano, competed in the U.S. National Chemistry Olympiad in 2021 and made it to nationals. Nancy received the gold level of the President's Volunteer Service Award in 2020 and 2021.
Alexander Nguyen
Alexander Nguyen is a senior from Edmond, Oklahoma. He is interested in math, computer science, and biology. Alex’s plans are to either study data science and statistics or medicine, with the goal of starting his own business. In his free time, Alex enjoys volunteering with kids, playing tennis with his friends, and fishing for large-mouth bass.
Shabab Kabir
Shahab Kabir is a senior high school student at the Oklahoma School of Science and Mathematics, where he has studied quantum mechanics, complex analysis, organic chemistry, chaos theory, and more. Shabab is a recipient of the Questbridge Match Scholarship and will attend Grinnell College in the fall of 2022. There, he will pursue a degree in physics and mathematics. Beyond Shabab's myriad of interests, including orchestral-electroacoustic music composition and even the sport of historical fencing, he also engages in research within Density Functional Theory, dynamic modeling, and as well as spectral analysis. Upon completing his undergraduate degree, Shabab hopes to pursue graduate study in differential geometry and theoretical physics to further his knowledge and progress as a researcher.
Ty Garrison
Ty Garrison is a senior at the Oklahoma School of Science and Mathematics. His interests and hobbies are making model rockets, volleyball, watching airplanes, and not sleeping. He is also the captain of the robotics team and participates in the rowing team, Science Olympiad, Physics and Astronomy Olympiad, and he is an outside hitter for the volleyball club. His favorite subjects are modern physics and astronomy, and he currently plans to attend the University of Washington with hopes of majoring in aerospace engineering. His plans for after graduation are to earn a master’s degree before working for or founding a private aerospace company. However, his ultimate goal in life is to be the first person to dab on Mars.
